The Preservation Trades Network’s Statement of Equality

0

We do not build and rebuild alone. We build with friends of all colors, from all walks of life. We may come from diverse backgrounds, professions, and geographic locations but we are united in our passion to extend knowledge and opportunity to anyone who is interested.  We reject the established patterns of exclusion that continue to hinder our friends’ accessibility to resources, education, and careers. We create opportunities in the preservation trades through network, good works, community, scholarships and fellowship. To network is to continuously reach out to others and explore new territory beyond ourselves. Good works are done to provide something of value to enhance and celebrate the human condition within the cultural heritage of a community. Through scholarship and fellowship, we cultivate bonding through the sharing of knowledge and building alongside one another. Together we are building more than just structures and buildings. We are building lasting relationships that will serve to support healthy, diverse and sustainable historic communities.
