Kayla Guidry is a preservation carpenter currently residing in southern Louisiana. Kayla holds a post-baccalaureate certificate in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. She also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She currently uses her knowledge to restore and maintain 18th and 19th Century structures in Vermilionville Living History & Folk Life Park, a living history museum.

Kayla’s carpentry career began shortly after attaining her Bachelor’s degree. She learned general carpentry and the rest, as they say, is history. Her passion for art, architecture, and preservation fuels her desire to always keep learning and passing her knowledge on to others.
