Deadline extended to June 7, 2019.

PTN is looking for a variety of craft demonstrators with varying experience willing to showcase their skills at the 2019 Internation Preservation Trades Workshop (IPTW) in Stirling, Scotland on September 5 - 7.

This year, we're excited to partner with Historic Environment Scotland to host the first ever to be hosting the first ever IPTW held outside of the US!

IPTW is a unique annual gathering that brings together the foremost practitioners of the traditional trades in a single event, dedicated to sharing the skills and knowledge of all the trades employed in the conservation of the built environment. Since 1997, carpenters, masons, metal workers, painters, plasterers, timber framers, roofers and practitioners of other traditional trades from more than a dozen countries have come together to share their knowledge and demonstrate their skills. Every IPTW draws a diverse audience of tradespeople, architects, preservationists, students and home owners, and offers unique learning opportunities for people of all ages and skills levels. On Thursday 5 and Friday 6 September, there will be an action-packed programme for professionals involving craft demonstrations from both the USA and the UK, lunch time lectures, tours and more.

On Saturday 7 September, everyone from families to enthusiasts will be able to see traditional crafts up close at our free demonstrations held in the Engine Shed, Scotland's building conservation center.

The event will close with a ceilidh and auction in the magnificent Great Hall at Stirling Castle. The proceeds from the renowned PTN auction are used to fund educational bursaries and specific projects.

The programme will be published in June 2019.
