The Preservation Trades Network Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 International Preservation Trades Workshop at Historic Fort Snelling.

Recent federal budget cuts have negatively affected AmeriCorps, HistoricCorps, the National Park Service, and other organizations that make up the bulk of conference attendees. Economic uncertainty has also led non-profits and local governments to reduce or eliminate professional development programs that would typically cover travel and attendance at conferences.

Since PTN relies on the IPTW as its primary source of income, poor attendance and a lack of demonstrators and sponsors could prove to be disastrous for our organization and its financial solvency. 

Our priority is to continue fostering our community of professionals, artisans, and advocates who share a dedication to preserving historic buildings and cultural heritage.
