John Chan is the owner of a Durable Slate Company, an award-winning top-tier leader specializes in Historic Roofing, including natural slate, clay tile, and copper. Starting his roofing career as an apprentice, John has worked on some of the most prestigious projects in the US, including the Library of Congress, the Frank Lloyd Wright Museum, President Lincoln’s Birthplace, and Teddy Roosevelt’s Ranch in North Dakota. John has been a board member of the National Slate Association for 10 years and was the president for five, and has demonstrated his roofing skills at several IPTWs throughout the years.
