Bio
Julie has been with the Durable Restoration Company for 7 years as their preservation director and in the industry for more than a decade working on projects such as the Old Executive Office Building, churches throughout the east coast and more recently the French Ambassador’s Residence. With an undergraduate and graduate degree in historic preservation and an additional field school at the Preservation Institute: Nantucket, Julie brings both a technical mindset and a historians perspective to every project she works on. Her expertise spans many disciplines, such as mortar analysis, detail preservation and material analyses and relationships; especially for structures experiencing extreme weather conditions. As an experienced project manager, her number one priority is a successfully completed project while conforming to Secretary of Interior Standards for Historic Preservation and best practices within the field.
