Bio
Dale Lupton is a Mason Work Leader for the Historic Preservation Training Center (HPTC), which is an entity of the National Park Service. Dale has been at HPTC for over 30 years and has served in the Masonry Section working on a wide range of preservation projects throughout his tenure. Dale received extensive stone carving training from Patrick Plunkett and Sean Callahan while working at the White House over a 4-month period. He has had many opportunities to hone his stone carving techniques on preservation projects that he carried out over the years. Prior to his time at HPTC, Dale attended the Dow J. Howard Vocational Technical College’s masonry program over a 2-year period during his last 2 years of high school. Upon graduating, he spent 10 years in the private sector working on residential brick and block projects for private contractors. He has a wealth of knowledge as it relates to masonry and historic preservation and is always excited to share his knowledge and skills with others.
