Joe is a museum professional, managing the Preservation and Maintenance departments at Hale Farm & Village, a living history museum in Bath, Ohio.  He holds an AAS in Building Preservation/Restoration from Belmont College (2016), and a BFA in Drawing and Painting from Columbus College of Art & Design (2001).  Joe began learning about traditional tools and methods as a teen, working for his dad’s furniture repair business, and through the years has continued to discover and practice ways to make things look and work better. Joe has a particular interest in practical geometry, for it’s value in design as well as tactile problem solving implications.

Since his first IPTW in 2014 (St. Clairsville), Joe has attended IPTWs in Berryville (2016), Detroit (2017), and Frederick (2018). He has enjoyed the many friendships he’s made through PTN so far, and has joyously welcomed fellow members to give workshops at Hale Farm in 2018 and 2019.  He continues to seek new ways to improve and use his knowledge and ability, and will always be in awe of the many masters of the trades of PTN.
