Mark Segro is originally from Rutherford NJ. He enrolled in the Building Preservation and Restoration program at Belmont College in 2004. After completing an internship at Lyndhurst National Trust Site in 2005, Mark began his NPS career at the Historic Preservation Training Center (HPTC) in the Carpentry Section in 2006. In 2011, Mark completed the 3 Month Furniture Making Intensive Class at North Bennet Street School. In 2012, Mark accepted the staff Exhibit Specialist position at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area where he re-established and lead a small preservation team. Mark rejoined HPTC in 2016 as an Exhibit Specialist in the Wood-Crafting Section. Mark, wife Hillary (also a Belmont BPR grad), daughters Josephine and Elaine, and dog Pepper, live in an old house in Keedysville, MD. When not at work you can find Mark with his family or in his shop at home.
